FAQs

Q I'd like to try aromatherapy at home. Is this safe?

A It's important to use common sense when following any healthcare tips. Wherever possible I will add a 'health note' when referring to essential oils. Anyone can pop into their local health shop and buy essential oils, however, not all oils are born equal. Some can be dangerous in pregnancy or cause a reaction depending on your sensitivities. It is also possible to overexpose oneself to essential oils so it's best not to rely too heavily on any one oil without taking a break. If you're planning to blend oils at home, please do consult an expert or an aromatherapy book.

Q I'd like to book an appointment with you. How do I do this?

A I'm delighted to hear that. Since relocating to Bath I've had to reduce my practice significantly. I'm sorry to say that I'm unable to take on additional clients at present, but I can always add you to my mailing list and let you know if I open my books again.

Q Could you review our products please?

A I receive many products so I can't guarantee reviewing them unless that's something we've explicitly agreed. I try to stick within a natural remit, however, as you'll see from my philosophy, I believe that balance is the key so I am happy to try 'unnatural' products which will fit into my Unnatural Highs Feature. Having said this, It is worth noting that I am not particularly anal about counting parabens and outing the use of synthetic fragrance. There are many shades of natural and I tend to use the term generously. When you say 'review', I don't really do anything as formal as this. I find reviews a little formulaic and prefer to write in an editorial style. I only recommend products I find to be wonderful, regardless of how they come to me, so I can't promise you I will love your product. Rest assured, though, that I would rather not 'review' a product which I don't heart, as I see little point in a negative piece.

Q I have a beauty line which I'd like you to test. Is this something you can do?

A I do offer consultancy services for product testing and can also feed back on all aspects of branding and marketing. Please email iheartnaturalbeauty(at)gmail(dot)com to further discuss.
