Wall Affirmations

Affirmations can be about things you aspire to be or to have. You can repeat affirmations as I've suggested here.
It can be difficult to know where to start. So I suggest beginning by taking a large piece of paper (maybe buy an A3 brightly coloured piece of paper for inspiration) and do a brainstorm of everything you want in your life.
You could simply write a list of everything you want. You might surprise yourself with what you come up with. Some people know exactly what they want but some are unsure of where they're headed. If you want a dog, a cat, a baby, a caravan, hot holidays, a loving partner or a job in television, write it down. I suggest writing your list in the present tense, as though you already have all the things you wish for. This may seem strange, but the idea is that these wishes will manifest themselves if you believe in them and talk about them like they already exist. For example, when talking about a business you're going to set up, you can say 'when my business is thriving' as opposed to 'if I'm really lucky and things take off'.
So, your list might look something like this:

I am surrounded by loving family and friends
I enjoy good health
My family enjoy good health
I have a cat/dog/kangaroo (you choose)
I earn (insert whatever you like) a year
I live in the countryside and we have a wonderful vegetable patch
I eat healthily
I am at peace
etc

The idea is that things you might have thought really far off are suddenly within your intimate environment. Place your list on the wall, somewhere you will see it everyday. You can take it down when the mother in law visits if you want to. No need to explain yourself to anyone else. This is all about you. Read this list out loud whenever you can. Read it with conviction. Whilst drying your hair or on your treadmill might be a good opportunity. You can learn it off by heart and say it in your head as you walk along.
Slowly but surely, the things you wanted which seemed so far off are becoming more feasible, more possible. Your heart opens to possibilities and your mind opens to ideas. Try this and see if you feel differently after a while, or if friends notice a difference. If nothing else, this exercise serves the purpose of reminding you where your focus is.
